Eagle Title Insurance can save you!

April 28, 2005
Recently I heard about a development in South mountain having liens placed on the property of the existing home owners. This development is brand new and the homeowners have just moved in when they received notice that their property is having a lien attatched to it. Some liens were up to $20,000. This lien was from a subcontract of the developer. Apparently, the developer did not pay the subcontractor for services rendered...hence the lien.

If those homeowners had an Eagle Title Policy they would be protected from these liens. An Eagle Policy is additional coverage that protects the owner of "mechanics" liens even after they have moved in. So if you are thinking of buying a new home you might want to consider purchasing an Eagle Policy from your title company.

Park City is starting to move!

April 20, 2005
In the past couple of months, the Park City Real Estate Market has really turned on. Many properties are selling within a couple of days and above asking price. It has become very competitive especially for properties below $500,000. I recently showed a property that had 12 offers on it the next day.

Many people are now realizing that Park City is under valued compared to other resort towns like Sun Valley and Aspen. We have better snow, fantastic accomodations and we are only 30 minutes from an International Airport. Much of this exposure came from the 2002 Winter Olympics.
